Skinny is not always beautiful. In fact, sometimes skinny isn’t beautiful at all. Being more than a size zero must never stop you from wearing what you like and being who you want to be. And that is why, we are proud of these women who love their bodies, pamper themselves, and dress to impress.

Strings and Buttons

Stepping out of their Audis and VWs, nibbling at freshly baked Italian bread, or flaunting their “brand” new possessions – the guests at the Carmina Burana Concert at the NCPA blended fashion and music enough for us to report this swanky event in our blog.

Formals being the dress code for the evening, one could see a range from Silk Sarees & Khadi Kurtas, to Cotton shirts & High waist skirts to Tuxedos and Evening gowns. With minimal accessories just enough to fill in the void of that something-missing, elegance hovered in the air. ‘Bling’ was evidently not the call of the day.

       

   

We also managed to capture a few decked up guests after grabbing a quick bite at the luscious NCPA Cafe.

A bunch of kids from the American School of Bombay, on the other hand, stood out as they gathered there to watch their friends perform. Chaperoned by their teachers, rather casually dressed, the cluster made a fashion statement unique to the evening.

Ajay Mehta, one of the guests and an ardent pianist, carried a Grotrian-Steinweg  jhola. His friend Zarir chose the more casual look with a red turtle neck and an Adidas side bag.Contrary to our expectation, there was more to the attendees than just suits and ties,thus making us feel less out of place.

Bras, don’t we all just love them! and the relationship we have with them? The sexier the bra, the sexier you feel, even if nobody can really see it. Lacy, padded, polka dotted, push up or seamless, that one favorite bra ends up becoming a part of you. For those that don’t spend too much time on lingerie or claim to not care about the bras they wear, a word of caution – an ill fitting bra can turn into your worst enemy. Trust us on this, when it comes to bras, NEVER COMPROMISE!

After attending the gay parade for two continuous years, a sufficiently curious mind such as ours would wonder where the tsunami of colours worn originates from. Well, we’ve found the gold at the end of the rainbow (winkety wink). Who said summer dresses are for the demure? With the heat back, it’s time to put away those jeans and woolens and put on our lightest and breeziest attire possible. With patterns ranging way beyond the floral, there is a perfect summer dress for everyone.
